We want to invite you to the release of Uncertain States Scandinavia Issue 11 and this time we see you all in Bergen at SLAKT. The subject for this issue is mental health.

In times of rapid technological innovation and where social media are becoming the most important tools for interaction amongst people, depression is on the rise. As we constantly stay connected through screens human contact has become a luxury good and that is why we need to take better care of each other. The artist expresses emotions; the lens-based artist create images that either heals or illustrate a problem. For this issue we picked the work of artists that consciously process emotions, or have a social agenda that needs to be heard.

The featured artists are: Anders Schau, Astrid Gjersøe Skåtterød, Bjørnar Øvrebø, Juliane Jensen, Lisbeth Johansen , Maija Tammi, Mathilde Helene Pettersen , Sissel Annett & Therese Alice Sanne

Førstkommende fredag 15. november kl 12-14 inviterer Henie Onstad Kunstsenter til kombinert babyworkshop og lansering av boken I NEED A KISS BEFORE THEY LEAVE av fotograf Mathilde Pettersen, som også er aktuell som en av fotografene i utstillingen Norsk dokumentarfotografi.
Til lanseringen kommer Rune Eraker, en av tre redaktører for Norwegian Journal of Photography, som også har veiledet Pettersen gjennom utviklingen av prosjektet hun viser i utstillingen Norsk dokumentarfotografi.⁠⠀

You are all invited to the winebar/bookshop LA BELLE HORTENSE and the launch of my photo book "I need a kiss before they leave" published by Kehrer Verlag. I am going to talk about my photographic project together with professor Anna-Kaisa Rastenberger (Uniarts Helsinki), who has written the text for the book, and Nathalie Luyer, the owner of VISAVIS edition in Paris.
Afterwards, there is going to be a book signing and a party.
